Ludhiana court issues arrest warrant against Sonu Sood in alleged Rs 10 lakh fraud case,

Bollywood star Sonu Sood faces legal trouble with an arrest warrant issued by a Punjabi court in relation to a suspected fraud case. Ramanpreet Kaur, the Ludhiana Judicial Magistrate, issued the warrant.

Arrest warrant issued against Sonu Sood in alleged Rs 10 lakh fraud case

The case involves an alleged fraud of Rs 10 lakh, filed by Ludhiana-based lawyer Rajesh Khanna against one Mohit Shukla, in which he claimed he was lured into investing in a fake Rijika coin.

The arrest warrant was issued after Sonu Sood was called to testify in court but did not show up. The officer in charge of Oshiwara Police Station in Andheri West, Mumbai, was ordered by the Ludhiana court to take Sonu Sood into custody.

The order states, “Sonu Sood, (S/o, W/o, D/o) resident of R/O H.NO 605/606 Casablanc Apartment, has been duly served with summon(s) or warrant(s) but he/she has failed to attend (absconds and keeps out of the way for the purpose of avoiding service of a summon(s) or warrant(s)). You are hereby ordered to arrest and bring the said Sonu Sood before the Court…”

The order further reads, “You are hereby directed to return this warrant on or before 10-02-2025 with an endorsement certifying the day on and the manner in which it has been executed, or the reason why it has not been executed.”

The next hearing of the alleged fraud case is scheduled for February 10.

On the work front Sonu was last seen in Fateh with Jacqueliene Fernandez. It is directed by Sonu Sood and produced by Umesh KR Bansal under Zee Studios and Sonali Sood of Shakti Sagar Productions, with Ajay Dhama as co-producer. Fateh is slated for a grand release on 10th January 2025.
